I was off the wagon but I am ready to get in the saddle again.

Hey There,
I realized that it has been 8 months since my last entry. It is so crazy how time slips away so quickly now days. It started with being busy with the holidays then birthdays then anniversaries, vacations, going back to work and the list goes on and on. Well things are a little more settled now and I think I am ready to get into the swing of things again so stay posted and we'll see if I can get myself together.

In Mememory Of.....

Today marked the end of my favorite place to sit in my back yard. A 16 year old boy with a drivers license is to blame. What was once a peaceful park bench on which I would sit and watch my children play is now a pile of splinters and crushed metal.........Oh well I was running out of room anyway so now when the fence gets fixed I have a new spot to decorate!

The Mantel

Here are some pictures of my mantel and my entertainment center. Fall is my favorite time of year for decorations. My house is really eclectic because I love so many things and I just can't settle on one thing. You can tell by my Folk Art mantle and my traditional entertainment center which sit right next to each other in my living room.

Robber's Cave Fall Festival

Here are some pictures of the Robber's Cave Fall Festival. The best part was the location. It was set right on a lake with a mountain back drop, and the mountain was blanketed with trees that were just starting to change into all of the beautiful yellows, oranges, browns and greens that come with fall. And the ground was covered with hickory nuts which, when cut open the right way, reveal an adorable heart. We did ok at the festival but it was a little long and I was ready to get home. I think I will stick to festivals around the house for a while.

Be There Or Be Square

We're already signed up for our next festival, and it is in less than 2 weeks! The Robbers Cave Fall Festival in Wilburton, OK is October 16-18. It is a 3 day event; there will be over 100 vendors and a classic car show so it's big one. To get more information on the festival you can go to the website www.robberscavefallfestival.com.

It's Over And The T-shirts Are Gone......Thank Goodness

The Bigfoot Festival and Conference was this weekend and it was so fun! And for a first timer I think we did pretty well. One of the first lessons I learned though was if you make t-shirts DO NOT PUT THE YEAR ON THEM, unless they were sold before you printed them. Thankfully all but one sold, but I have to tell you that I was definitely sweating it when I only sold 2 on the first day (of a 2 day craft fair).

It's weird to see what actually sells compared to what you think will sell because in our case it was definitely not the same. But I am better prepared for next year now (I think). Hopefully I will get to do it again here in a couple of weeks at the Robbers Cave Craft Festival. It's still pending though I am waiting to here from the Wilburton chamber of commerce. Anyhow, I hope you enjoy these pictures from our great Bigfoot adventure!
